Just going to take a few minutes to brag about the wonderful weekend I had, because it really did make me absolutely dizzy with happiness and I needed it, and I am so happy and thankful I got to live it.

Erica came to visit on Friday.  For like, 2 hours.  But that's okay.  I love seeing her.

Saturday I had to do a group project at the library, and went to campus to watch the movie and meet my group, but I was early, and therefore went to Washington Square Park to enjoy the park on Saturday.  The fountain was on, the sun was sorta out...and every single weiner dog (Dashund, for you technicals) in Manhattan were milling around.  It was SO FUNNY.  Apparently, they do this every October.  I'm glad I got to see it.

The movie was one I've seen...and really liked...in freshman year Spanish.  Aaaaaand it's really going to help the presentation I have to give tomorrow afternoon, so yaaaaaaay to that!  Um, then I walked to Union Square, and couldn't get above my old block of 10th street...because of the Motorcycle Parade.  Police sanctioned motorcycle parade across 10th street.  Also hysterical.  I love NYU.  I haaaaaaaate the pricetag, but no other school in THE WORLD provides THIS education - outside the classroom education.  New York City.
Trying to think if anything else truly spectacular happened on Saturday, but I do not believe so.  Amanda came over, and we hung out and talked and made popcorn, and printed out tickets to a show on Sunday and a show for her and Jess on Wednesday, and I'm glad Jess gets to go now 'cause her away message at the time was 'anyone have an extra ticket to the Say Anything show'? when Amanda came over.

Sunday Lisa came in to visit, and we met in Penn Station and then we tried to go to Central Park.  We took the E train, and 'cause I'm an idiot, wound up in Queens because I forgot how badly the E/AC schism was.  So we remediedt hat, hopped a 6, and met up with Kristin, Kevin, Jilly, and Manny on the Great Lawn, between all the baseball diamonds.  Where I caught FIVE-OUTTA-FIVE football passes in a row.  Then I dropped 2...but then I started catching again.  Alison came for a bit, then she, Kris, Lisa and I left for Water St.  Showed off my sweet room, and then we were back on the train to campus.  PB and Co and also Gray's Papaya (what a HORRIBLE combination of 2 amazing restaurants!).  Then we rode the train up again (well, lies, we took a downtown train by accident 'cause AGAIN I am an idiot!!!! and then went uptown), dropped her off at Penn, and then I went up to Roseland to meet up with Amanda.

Concert was GREAT.  We only stayed for Sleeping, Plain White T's, Emery, and Relient K.  Sorry, Hawthorne Heights.  I'm glad I made Amanda stay thru Relient K, because they were really good last night - they came out to Nintendo music, and jumped for each 'ding'.  Really cute, and I SOOOOO called Sadie Hawkins and then that their last song when it started was 'Who I am' so that was cool.  All the bands were really good.  I had f un with Emery, but Amanda and I got separated, and this guy next to me was seeeeeeeeriously throwing elbows, so I just sorta gave up and moved back a few rows to actually ENJOY the show.  Plain White T's were amazing.  And they ended with "hey there Delilah" and the line Times Square can't shine as bright as you is actually the reason I had downloaded it a year ago, and the reason I love it now.  Even though I forgot it was a PWT song.  Cool.

Today = work, work, presentation, work, mac and cheese (I just decided on that), work.  Butttttt no class, no student teaching.  So technically, my 'day off'.
