evilI have just decided that before year's end, I WILL get my licence.
Not just any licence. Oh, no. Not a class-D or whatever. I'm going to get me a bus drivin' license. And not just a dinky school bus. I'm talking a big, powerful, M14D-style bus. And then I'm going to find the guy from Duane Reade about 20 minutes ago, and I am going to run him over. Then I'm gonna back up (you know, to let a patron on/off), and then I shall go back foward.
I guess if you don't know me, I just sounded kind of evil.
Or maybe not evil.
Just finally not taking the whole world's shit. Realizing I'm a valid person and I can't let everyone make comments that effect me.
Here's how it went down:
I went to Duane Reade so I could get some stuff for when classes start on Tuesday. Start to get online behind these two waiting guys. The guy behind the counter says "two lines, folks, two lines". So I wait. Then, "two lines. Please make two separate lines". Now, if I had seen you were physically handicapped, or had made a tiny effort to move to the right, I would have stayed where I was and let you go. But no. YOU JUST STOOD THERE. So I, with my arms full of crap as well as three other shopping bags and the desire to get home, went over, and was then called.
Then I took too long putting my change away. So you could come over and get in my face and say, "Thanks for the consideration. You know, how you saw the two of us standing there but went up anyways. That was really nice". And then, as he walked out, "Have a great year at school". Honestly -- fuck you. It's New York. I don't encourage 'cutting' people, but the world doesn't wait for you. Sorry. I probably should have waited, but you should have just dealt with it, same way I deal with it when people don't realize I'm waiting and step forward. If you're meek, you get stepped on. You're in your 50s. Getting in the face of a 20-year old girl REALLY makes you a tough guy. Oh, and an asshole.
