So, today the kids were binding the books they've been making for realistic fiction, and Stef really messed his up in terms of punching holes. He was going to throw the mangled copy out, but I asked to keep it. He let me. I am SO glad I did. I feel like a bit of a jerk, but it's pretty much the funniest thing I have ever read. The dedication page got me going - "Dedicated to my mom, my dad, and all eagles". The story is about Greg, and his newly hatched brother, George. And trying to fly. And basically, every internal thought he has is spoken dialogue the next line. But it's amazing. I'm proud of him.
I am going to miss them so much. I am prepared to cry on Thursday.
I feel like the luckiest student teacher in history to have had this class. I love them.
