Know when you're watching The Office for the first time ever in your life, so you have NO IDEA what's happening in the plot, but you see the two guys at their desks after they've taken several shots and are smashed and one of them sings the line "I went to the mountains" and you SOMEHOW know immediately that they were singing the Indigo Girls OF ALL THINGS?  Because that's how I live my life.

In keeping with my posting about old friends, the previous anecdote as well as the title of the entry, come from last night, when I hung out with two of my best friends in the entire world; Lisa since 1st grade, Michaela since 3rd.  I've been friends with them for...17 years?  What?

Mickey cooked us an amazing dinner in the new house, and even though her mom was a little sick, it was SO nice to see her happy as compared to her life upstate.  Dinner was delicious.  We took a walk so she could smoke a stoge, and the three of us just enjoyed talking and being together.  How cheesy is that, but we did.

Then we went to The Witches Brew to visit our other beloved friend, the newly cell-phoned Matt.  Matt broke Michaela's macaroni project WHEN THEY WERE 4.  These ties run deep.  Matt served us our chosen items, and camed by intermittently to catch up a little, but it was pretty busy there for a Tuesday night.  Also working last night was Dan, who has been there forever.  And last night, after YEARS of talking about it, we called him over to show him a picture of Lee's brother, John, because they are identical twins.  Dan is the one, carrying a tray of empties who said, "okay, I'll be right over .... (But) I already know what you're gonna show me" which made us CRACK UP.  He doesn't see it, and I don't see it as much as Micker and Liser do, but it was just a totally chill, happy experience.  Most of the people I meet at the Brew are chill.

Then we went to Liser's and in transit I got to talk to Gen on the phone, which was G R E A T, and then we went to Lishee's and Michaela painted our nails and we sat around and watched TV and the Indigo Girls thing happened, and everything was hilarious and great and I NEED TO SEE THEM AGAIN.  Fuckin' Mike and Larry, though.  Can't EVER come thru and make my life complete.  There's always next time.
